Vinland Saga

This historical fiction anime follows the story of Thorfinn, a young warrior who vows to avenge his father’s death at the hands of the infamous pirate and slaver, Askeladd. Thorfinn joins Askeladd’s band of mercenaries, hoping to one day have his revenge. But as he travels through medieval Scandinavia and witness the horrors of war, Thorfinn begins to question his own motivations.
