From Up on Poppy Hill

This anime is a coming-of-age story that takes place in the 1960s, in the port city of Yokohama. The main character, Umi Matsuzaki, is a high school student who becomes involved in the effort to save her school’s clubhouse from being demolished. As she works with other students, she discovers the meaning of friendship, love, and sacrifice.

This anime shows us the life after the war has ended and its aftermath, The anime is set just after the war has ended, its tells us the story of a high school boy and a high school girl, and their struggles of them trying their best to retain the old clubhouse building from being destroyed, and in between somehow managing to find their own way of expressing love towards each other
